WYD Magazine
WYD Magazine
In 1984, the Pontifical Council for the Laity published the booklet “Una festa di speranza” [A Celebration of Hope] to commemorate the Youth Jubilee which took place that same year.
The Foundation has been publishing a magazine on a regular basis since 1992 with the purpose of raising awareness of WYD and providing testimony of that experience. Youth Church Hope was the first title of the magazine. It later became I Care, until it took its current name in 2008 − World Youth Day Magazine.
Although the name of the magazine has changed several times, the style and spirit have remained the same. It features illustrative photos, short texts in four or five different languages, some of the pope’s key remarks, and the feelings and thoughts of the young people present at WYD.
It is a comprehensive and easy-to-read compilation, full of images, people and special occasions that have entered into the hearts of all those who took part and also into the history of the Church.
