On Mission to Seoul: preparing for the
5th World Youth Day Conference on Fraternity
In recent days, Daniele Bruno, President of the John Paul II Foundation for Youth, traveled to Seoul to continue preparations for the 5th World Youth Day Conference, which in 2027 will be dedicated to the central theme of fraternity.
The mission included a packed schedule of official meetings with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for World Youth Day in Seoul, with whom the initial logistical and programmatic details of the event were finalized, building on the path established in previous international editions.
In addition to his working sessions with the LOC, President Bruno also met with several significant local organizations, including Sungsimdang, a leading example of social commitment and a concrete testament to an economy that places people—and the most vulnerable among them—at its center. The visit provided an opportunity to explore potential forms of collaboration and to highlight local initiatives that embody the spirit of fraternity the Conference aims to promote.
The Foundation thus continues its commitment to building, together with its Korean and international partners, an event that offers young people from around the world an opportunity for reflection, dialogue, and shared growth.
