The John Paul II Foundation for Youth Renews Its Commitment to Integral Ecology

During a recent interview on Padre Pio TV’s “Just Today” segment, Daniele Bruno, President of the John Paul II Foundation for Youth, reaffirmed the central role of integral ecology in educational activities aimed at young people. This commitment is rooted in the teachings of *Laudato si’* and *Laudate Deum*, and the Foundation carries it out through educational programs, international conferences, and collaborations with ecclesial and academic institutions.

Bruno noted that integral ecology is not merely about protecting the environment, but about a new way of living in the world: an approach that combines care for creation, social responsibility, attention to relationships, and sustainable lifestyles. In this context, he also referred to Pope Leo XIV’s recent encyclical *Magnifica Humanitas*, which, in its introduction, calls for a “courageous shared responsibility” capable of involving everyone—and young people in particular—in the care of our common home.

“Young people are not only the future, but the present of the Church and the world,” Bruno emphasized, in line with what Pope Francis states in *Christus Vivit*. For this reason, the Foundation supports them in becoming active agents of a cultural change that begins in daily life and opens up to universal fraternity.

Among the ongoing initiatives, mention was made of the journey toward the 5th World Youth Day Conference on fraternity, to be held in Seoul in 2027, which will devote significant attention to the themes of integral ecology and the formation of new generations.

The Foundation thus reaffirms its mission: to support young people in building a more just, sustainable, and fraternal future, in dialogue with the Church and with all those committed to caring for our common home.
